Okanagan Wine Festivals Society Spreads Christmas Kindness Campaign
To Support WestJet’s 12,000 Mini-Miracles Day
KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA – December 9, 2015: The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society has been selected by WestJet to participate in their 12,000 mini-miracles day. As part of the holiday charity campaign, the Society took nominations from the Okanagan community of locals who are deserving of one of our 120 special Christmas gift baskets and will be distributing them later today. This year’s 12,000 Mini Miracles day will see thousands of WestJet employees and select partners in 13 cities and 40 airports around the world performing 12,000 random acts of kindness in a 24-hour period on December 9.
Nominations for the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society Christmas Kindness Campaign were for individuals deserving of a special surprise – regardless of their economic situation. Nominees for example may include a coach who has gone above and beyond for his/her team, or a local volunteer who has worked tirelessly for their organization. It was open to anyone who has gone above and beyond in the performance of their everyday duties. From the nominations, our Society selected 120 individuals for the surprise treat. The Okanagan Wine Festivals Society staff will be distributing the gift bags to those that have been honoured with this surprise holiday award this afternoon in downtown Kelowna.
