Mile High Wine & Music Take You To The (Mountain) Top

At Okanagan Wine Festivals, we know how lucky we are to live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, surrounded by glittering lakes, fertile vineyards, and majestic mountains. This breathtaking landscape gives us an incredible opportunity to offer up a uniquely British Columbian wine experience in partnership with Valley First and Silver Star Mountain Resort.

Mile High Wine & Music brings local wines, fresh culinary delights, and lively music to Silver Star for Canada’s highest wine tasting event. At a height of 5,280 ft. above sea level with the mountains and summer sky as the backdrop for the evening, Mile High is a perfect way to quench your summer thirst, where you can sample more than 100 wines from 25 local wineries.

This year, Mile High Wine & Music will feature an expanded stage and dance area, giving you plenty of room to boogie with old friends and new. Sip wine and have some fun while you listen to lively dance music from ‘Sista B and the Boyz’ on a mountain just a short drive from Vernon and Kelowna.

Of course, you can’t have a great party without great food, which is where GumTree Catering comes in. Vernon’s GumTree Catering is working on a delicious menu to ensure that you have delicious food to pair with your tasty Okanagan wines. Dairy Farmers of Canada will also be in attendance, bringing a sampling of Canadian cheeses to compliment the vast array of wine that awaits you.

So, when does this marvelous event happen and how can you get a ticket? Mile High Wine & Music will take place on Saturday, August 9th between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets for the event are $60 +tax and can be purchased by calling 1-800-663-4431 or by emailing [email protected]. There’s also plenty of great accommodation available at Silver Star, so make a night of it and enjoy yourself, being sure not to wine and drive.
